Performance measurement of cleanroom flooring
Particles have a basic tendency to settle on surfaces
as a result of varying adhesive forces. This effect is greatly
encouraged by the room's airflow, causing contamination to
settle on the floor surface. Cleanroom flooring can solve this
problem. The adhesive action, and thus the effectiveness of the
flooring, can be checked at regular intervals.
Heavy traffic, combined with a high degree of contamination and inappropriate cleaning, causes a significant reduction in adhesive effect.
When new, clean room flooring prevents 99% of the demonstrable contamination but its particle trapping performance can drop below 50% after two years or more.
To prevent the entry of particles into the cleanroom, we recommend regular testing of the efficiency of the flooring by means of a special measuring apparatus. We will be pleased to conduct this test on site.
